Our Structure
The organisational structure of CRC BID comprises a Board of Directors, an executive team and various committees. The chart below summarises the relationships between these three components and with the CRC's research program.

Board
The Board of Directors comprises an independent chairman, two independent directors and nominees from each of the industry and research participants of the CRC. The Directors are responsible for corporate governance and oversight of the strategic direction of the CRC, including the alignment of objectives and activities and the identification of risks.The Board meets quarterly.
Executive Team
The Executive Team comprises a chief operating officer and representatives of participating organisations. The representatives are usually also directors of the CRC. The Team is responsible for the operation and management of the CRC.
Strategy and Communications Committee (SACC)
This independently-chaired committee monitors and reviews the scientific direction of current research streams and projects and evaluates the potential of new projects in the CRC's research field. SACC meets at least quarterly and reports to the Board.
Audit, Finance and Remuneration Committee
This committee reviews the CRC's financing and external reporting and ensures compliance with applicable laws, regulations and the CRC Commonwealth Agreement. It also monitors the internal safeguards against conflicts of interest and fraud and assesses various management processes. The committee meets formally at least three times a year with an independent director as its chairperson.
Commercialisation and IP Management Committee
This committee manages the CRC's intellectual property assets, including its protection, use and commercialisation, and ensures that the CRC's activities do not infringe the intellectual property of others. The committee meets formally at least three times a year.
Project Management Committee
This committee works in conjunction with SACC to ensure the CRC's research projects are conducted in the best manner possible and that the technical risks associated with each project are properly identified and understood.
