New directors have been elected to the board of the CRC for Biomedical Imaging Development, following the Annual General Meeting in November 2009.  A new chair was also elected, Dr Bruce Godfrey, who has served as an independent board member for three years, and has also chaired the company’s Strategy and Communications Committee for that same period.

Dr Godfrey welcomed to the board Dr John Morris, who is an independent director, and Mr David Walker, who replaces Ms Christina Hardy as the delegate from the Garvan Institute of Medical Research.  The new directors bring a wide range of experience in technology development and commercialisation.

Dr Godfrey expressed his thanks to Dr Mike Dalling, AM, who stepped down as Chair of CRCBID at the AGM last year, after a period of three years.  “Dr Dalling has provided valuable guidance for the company during its early stages, with his insights into the innovation process.”

Dr Godfrey said he was looking forward to working with his colleagues on the board in gearing up for the commercial focus of CRCBID as it translates its research programs to clinical outcomes and identifies its development priorities.
