Research Process

All CRCBID research projects follow a six-phase pathway from initiation to commercialisation and each project must generate sufficient objective data for review by the Strategy and Communications Committee (SACC) before it may progress to the next phase.

The six project phases are:

Using this sequential approach, a set of molecules or design solutions are progressively filtered to give products that can be deployed. Within each project, at any one time, there are several sub-projects corresponding to individual molecules or detector components. These sub-projects can be at various phases.
